We're excited to annouce our second Dallas show for April. On Tuesday, April 27th we will be joined by author Kirby Alfaro and bands Knoxville Dangerous, Yeni Naván, and Taylor Monroe at the Backbeat on Akard Street - very close to the DART rail if that is of interest to you. The show will start at an early 7 pm. We will be closing the evening. More information in the poster below.

April 17th is Record Store Day! It is also the day Good Records will be celebrating their 10th Aniversary, and Little Birds will be joining a number of other great bands to help them celebrate. We're so excited they've invited us. Our set should begin at 11:30, come show your support for Good Records, Little Birds, and vinyl!

March has been a big month for us. Our first release as a full band, A Secret In Your Ear, is out and we're excited for you to hear it. You can check out the album on our Muxtape and get it from the online store here or at one of our shows coming up. Check back here for more news!


Little Birds began as a simple solo project for Brooke Opie Ragusa, but it has evolved into an instrument swapping sextet brimming with harmonies. After years of performing by herself under her own name, Brooke was joined by her husband Dan, Faye Collins, Cliff Caster and Justin Lloyd in 2006. With the addition of Scott Lorenz, the group decided to rename themselves Little Birds. No longer the product of any single member, the band’s music develops naturally from the sum of its parts. Evoking both the sprawling openness of their north Texas home and the intimacy of conversations with close friends, Little Birds make music that is unpretentious and quietly uplifting. The band’s first album, A Secret In Your Ear, was recorded in Denton, TX, by musician and producer Justin Collins in July of 2009 and the lazy summer warmth infuses the songs with a sense of gentle nostalgia. It will be released as a limited edition cd with lovingly handmade artwork.
